What is the best way to take a Medrol dose pack?
The best way to take a Medrol dose pack is to follow your doctor’s recommendations. However, if your doctor or pharmacist hasn’t guided you enough regarding the proper use of the Medrol dose pack, we can discuss a few important points here.
The Medrol pack comes with a total of 21 doses that are supposed to be taken in 6 days. Let’s look at the basic directions (1):
- On day 1, take two tablets before breakfast, one tablet after lunch, one after dinner, and two tablets before you go to sleep. That makes a total of six tablets.
- On day 2, take one tablet before breakfast, one tablet after lunch, one after dinner, and two tablets before you go to sleep. That makes a total of five tablets.
- On day 3, take one tablet before breakfast, one tablet after lunch, one after dinner, and one tablet before you go to sleep. That makes a total of four tablets.
- On day 4, take one tablet before breakfast, one tablet after lunch, and one tablet before you go to sleep. That makes a total of three tablets.
- On day 5, take one tablet before breakfast and one before you go to sleep. That makes a total of two tablets.
- On day 6, take one tablet before breakfast and that’s it. You’re done with your Medrol dose pack.
