Can you take Tylenol and Claritin together?
Yes, you can take Tylenol and Claritin together and it’s absolutely safe to do so. Tylenol contains Acetaminophen, a painkiller and a fever reducer (1).
Acetaminophen does not have many drug interactions and it is used frequently with other meds (1). Claritin, on the other hand, is a second-generation antihistamine called Loratadine (2).
Claritin is also well tolerated and can be used with a number of meds without any potential health risk. Since we are talking about two safe medications with a wide therapeutic index, it is absolutely safe to take Tylenol and Claritin together (1,2).
