Can Robaxin and alcohol kill you?

Can Robaxin and alcohol kill you?

Yes, Robaxin and alcohol can kill you, especially if higher amounts are consumed concomitantly. Several studies have warned about such a possibility.

Make sure you do not use Robaxin and alcohol together, even in minute doses as your body could be sensitive enough to get affected just by minor amounts.

How does the concomitant use of Robaxin and alcohol affect you?

The concomitant use of Robaxin and alcohol is considered life-threatening for a number of reasons. However, the most troublesome reason is the interaction between these two, which tends to enhance the effects, and hence toxicity of both Robaxin and alcohol.

Studies have reported that Robaxin can enhance the effects of alcohol in your brain, which could lead to blackouts, coma, or death. The side effects of Robaxin are also enhanced by alcohol and they both damage your central nervous system (1).

The intensity, however, depends on how much you have taken or how frequently you have been using the two together. Make sure you don’t mix Robaxin with alcohol or any other muscle relaxer for that matter.

What to do if you have consumed Robaxin and alcohol together?

If you have taken Robaxin and alcohol and you feel drowsy, dizzy, or you are unable to walk with a proper gait, immediately reach out to your healthcare provider.

clearly indicates that the concentration has started to affect your brain and it’s best to be under your doctor’s observation till the effects wear off.

If you feel absolutely okay after taking Robaxin and alcohol together once or twice, it’s a good sign but it doesn’t indicate that you should continue to drink with Robaxin.
