You can take Delsym and Mucinex-D together, but there won’t be any additional therapeutic benefits of taking these two together. Delsym is Dextromethorphan, which is a cough suppressant (1). 

Mucinex-D, on the other hand, contains Guaifenesin and Pseudoephedrine (1). Both Delsym and Mucinex-D may not help you as much as you think they would. 

Delsym, being a cough suppressant, may end up causing chest congestion if you have a cough comorbid with phlegm (1). This is because coughing can help you eliminate clogged mucus and provide relief.
